The French Wine Merchant is introducing its unique method of personal wine sales to Connecticut and New York.
Maurice Amiel, founder of The French Wine Merchant, will make available the offerings of small, overlooked vineyards to Connecticut and New York consumers.
“I will buy the output of small, talented domestic and international artisan producers and negotiants, making their wines available at very reasonable prices to Connecticut and New York consumers via the internet, direct mail and wine tastings.”
Orders will be processed 24 hours a day, seven days a week for delivery via UPS. New wines will be offered every month. Prices will range from $7 to $52 per bottle. Full and mixed cases can be obtained for a little as $99 per case.
Mr. Amiel notes that he is able to obtain very high quality, distinctive wines from high-quality, reputable sources at very good prices because he will be buying directly from the artisan producer – not from importers and distributors – and will be purchasing a substantial portion of the vineyards’ production.
“Bi-monthly trips to all the key wine regions in the world has enabled me to develop a network of dedicated vintners who like my system,” he points out. “We pay careful attention to their needs and they reciprocate by reserving for our clients the best of their varietals and cuvees.”
The French Wine Merchant plans to expand across to United States, developing, a customer base of 50,000. In each state it will have a licensed facility. In Connecticut, Val’s Putnam Wines & Liquors on:
125 West Putnam Avenue Greenwich, CT 06830 1-203-869-2299 will act as the licensee.
